Hi Neighbor!

 

My name is Andrea “Red” Greer and I’m running for West Virginia’s House of Delegates in the brand new District 13. I’m running because West Virginia can have a bright, amazing future, but we have to stop passing backwards laws; we must embrace new ideas and innovations to make that future a reality! I’m dedicated to doing the hard work required to be a proper representative for my community. I’m eager to help make Wood County, and West Virginia, better!

 

Right now, our government is filled with people who work for themselves, rather than working for their constituents. I believe we need a government that works for all of us, not just the wealthy and well-connected. All around Wood County, there is a boom of economic development. Wood County has been left out because our Delegates aren’t working for our best interests, but for their own. I will work to bring those same economic opportunities to Wood County, always championing local workers and local benefits for our area. 

 

I’ve been an activist all my life. However, I’ve only recently started running for office. I’m not a politician; just a regular person who knows how things should be working, and is tired of how things are working! We can do better. We can have a transparent government that is accountable to the people in this state, rather than moneyed interests who are only interested in our resources - and care nothing for our communities. I’ve been endorsed by the AFL-CIO, Planned Parenthood Votes South Atlantic, AFT, Mountain Mamas, WV Can’t Wait, and more. I don’t take corporate cash, and I won't ever be bought. I won’t ask you to trust me on that; my run and my tenure as Delegate will be open and transparent. And if you ever want to talk to me, as your Delegate, I will be sure you get the opportunity.
